AcroPack Demo:
2 Very useful functions, Create New
Blank PDF and Resize Page Boxes. Uses Acrobat 7's new
JavaScript dialogs to add extra power and flexibility.
User is given several options when using either of the
functions. Excellent demonstration of how far Acrobat
JavaScript functionality can be pushed, i.e. to Plug-in level
functionality.
Requires Acrobat Pro 6 or 7, Windows or Mac.
- Windows
installer (1.9 MB)
- Zip File (25
KB) - For Mac or Windows. Copy the contents of the zip file
to <Acrobat Installation Folder>\Acrobat\JavaScripts
JavaScript
Form Field and Annotation Flattener:
This short JS demonstrates the use of the doc.flattenPages() method. Copy the contents of the zip file to <Acrobat Installation Folder>\Acrobat\JavaScripts
Menu Item and Toolbar Report Generator:
This JS places a button on the Acrobat Toolbar. When
pressed it generates a new PDF listing the names of all the Menu
Items or Toolbar Buttons that are active in Acrobat. These
names are not necessarily the names that are displayed in the
menus, but rather the names that are used to activate the menu
item from JavaScript with the "app.execMenuItem()" function. Copy the contents of the zip file to <Acrobat Installation Folder>\Acrobat\JavaScripts
JavaScript Console for Adobe
Reader 7.0
In Version 7.0 Adobe enabled the Adobe Reader to use the
JavaScript Debugger. However, Reader does not come
automatically setup for this. It's only available to JS
developers who know how to do it. This zip file contains
everything you need to set up Reader, including a toolbar button
for activating to Console Window. Follow the instructions
in the ReadMe file inside the zip. The same files will also work for later versions of Adobe Reader, However you'll also have to make changes to the registry file that's included in the zip.
